Parish Reopens on Aug. 15th

ASSUMPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY

ROMAN CATHOLIC PARISH

From the desk of Reverend Jose Maria A. Corvera:

Dear Parishioners of Assumption Parish,

I am pleased to announce to you that our parish will reopen on August 15, 2020 at 5:00 PM for the Vigil Mass where we will celebrate the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Our Mass schedule will remain as before for summer hours: 5:00 PM- Saturdays; 7:30 AM & 9:30 Am on Sundays. The confession schedule and location remains as previously published.

There is one significant change to our sacramental processes: Distribution of Holy Communion will occur after the faithful are sent forth after the Mass concludes. Ministers of Holy Communion will be posted out doors by the palm trees. You may receive Holy Communion on the palm of your hand as you leave the church.

Holy Communion will be offered to those vulnerable persons who could not physically attend Mass right after each Mass concludes and the Mass attendees have been given Holy Communion. The Mass typically takes about 35-40 minutes to complete. We will have a Minister of Holy Communion posted to offer Holy Communion until 6:10pm on Saturdays, 8:40am and 10:40am on Sundays. That should give at least a 20 minute window of time from the conclusion of Mass for folks to come and receive the Eucharist.

Please be reminded to observe 6ft social distancing at all times and remember that the wearing of face masks is mandatory.

Welcome home!
