On Friday, November 4, 2022, your Knights of Columbus Council delivered and handed out 85 winter coats for children from the White Mountain Apache Nation in Whiteriver, AZ. Tribe Coordinator, Misty Mills said that these coats will greatly help keep the children healthy and warm. These children come from the lowest income families within the tribe. It was so heartwarming to see the joy in the face of these children as they received their coats.
Many thanks go out to Council Coordinator, Sir Knight Peter Breer and his bride Gwen for their dedication and hard work in providing detailed lists of sizes needed, and for personally purchasing 15 extra coats. Thanks also go out to Past Grand Knight, Sir Knight Chuck Goldsmith for doing the online ordering and driving us up to Whiteriver to hand out the coats. Appreciation also goes out to Community Director, Worthy Brother Terry Tryon, and Lady Knight Liz Trujillo for their hard work in getting the coats handed out.
The Knights of Columbus Coats for Kids program is a core program that supports our foundational principles of Charity, Unity and Fraternity.
Good job, Chuck and Deacon, Ernie, and the other Knights of Columbus, who participated, well done
